GAME ART >
Waterlife: wHERE RIVERS MEET THE SEA
Concept | Storyboarding | Animation
My client, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), was seeking to develop an educational game focusing on estuaries that could be used as a teaching tool in elementary and middle schools. My role as lead artist and animator was to create animations that would be appealing to a younger audience while still portraying the estuary in a semi-realistic way for educational purposes. I worked extensively in Flash CS3 to create the vast majority of the game's art including concepts, long cut scene animations, and UI. I also voice-acted the game's protagonist. Finally, I was asked to work on other projects branching from this one, including "Trash Smash" and "Water Life: Quest to Nest," all of which can be played on their website at http://games.noaa.gov/. http://games.noaa.gov/oscar/welcome.html |
